How to Crochet a Shell Scarf

Crocheting scarf. Turns make scarf want to twist. How do I fix this?

I’m single crocheting a scarf and chaining once to turn.

Unfortunately, it seems my turns are making the piece warped. The scarf keeps twisting in the direction I’m turning.

Is there a way to fix this? Should I chain twice?
