I am crocheting a hoodie for my son and the pattern says "Sleeves: with larger hook and CA, ch 21. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and next 7. change to CB and sc in next 4 ch, change to CA and sc in last 8 ch; turn – 20 sc. Keeping colors correct as now placed, work in sc, shaping sides by inc 1 stat each end of every right side row until there are 36 sts. Work even until sleeve measures 9" from beg. Fasten off the CA sections." But what I don’t understand is "Shoulder extension: Work even over center 4 CB sc for 3 3/4". Fasten off. HUH??????

I’ve been crocheting for 17 years, and I thought I knew everything, turns out I don’t. here’s my problem.

I’ve got this really great idea for a project that involves crochet edging on ribbon. have the patterns needed figured out, thread and ribbon bought, get it all home and get ready to put it all together when it hits me. I don’t know how to put the edging on the ribbon!

I want to crochet it directly on the ribbon, all the way around, even the cut ends, which will be hemmed first. I’d rather not have to sew it.

Also, this will be taking a bit of stress, the edges will be attached to each other.

How do I do this?
