I want deep wave braids like this but my hair is as long as yours so I might get it dine your way. How long do these stay in your hair? I want mine to last 2 months and how do you remove them I heard you say remove the cornrol but how? You even crocheted on the back piece where the braid ended

i always used to get crochet weave when i was in elementary school. it’s super quick to install and take out which is nice. i may go back to this style for the winter months!!

btw. i didn’t know it could be done with that braiding hair for a loose curl style, i always had the ones that were pre-braided.

Ty SO much for this video. I’ve been making the same afghan, same stitch, for 40+ years. Think it’s time to venture out? Lol This is a beautiful stitch. I’m starting with a mohair and silk yarn scarf for my daughter. A little harder through the chain stitch but with the years of crocheting behind me not a problem. I’m subscribing to your thread to learn new things. Ty!

Thank you so much for creating this video. Your video quality is SO clear. I had to have people show me to crochet in person because I could never see the stitches on videos. Also your instructions are very easy to follow. I feel confident that I can do it.

@THEMYSYAMIMI If you skip a stitch, the beginning of your work will be smaller. As you progress in your work, the rest of your piece will expand. You will have a piece that is smaller at the beginning and larger at the end. I do not recommend skipping a stitch.

  33. THEMYSYAMIMI says:
    December 29, 2011 at 7:54 am

is it ok if i dont skip 1 stitch?

  34. tjw1963 says:
    December 29, 2011 at 8:11 am

@willich123 Most likely there would be some modification with trial and error to see if the stitch would work. It may work best with 2 or 3 ply yarn and a smaller hook but that would mean modifying the whole pattern.

i have a question about the mittens you teach to crotchet how easy would it be to convert the stitch pattern to a puff stitch style pattern and how would one go about this because i love this stitch.

@wksk8grl This video can be used to make a blanket. You will crochet a chain of 150-175, then make your puff stitch.

Love all your videos! I’ve been crocheting for about 2 months now and have made a ton of hats so far. I’d like to do a puff stitch baby blanket or something similar, do you have a video for that?

I’m off to start my puff stitch blanket now!

@kylesdad77 You can try a larger hook to see if that helps.

  46. kylesdad77 says:
    December 29, 2011 at 12:30 pm

Thanks! The video helped. Is it better to use a larger needle for the puff stitch?

  47. tjw1963 says:
    December 29, 2011 at 12:38 pm

@kylesdad77 What you can do is pull each loop up until your hook is horizontal. This will make puffy puff stitches. I have made a video on how to do this and will send you the link.
