How many strands of yarn are you using because in the first one it looks like one and in this one it looks like two. Please explain.

@bobwilson123 instead of avoiding the “witch look” could you make it longer so that it droops down the back of the scoodie for a more fashionable look?

@shesha3189 I say push the point in and the sew it shut with a piece of yarn…

I’m working on my scoodie hood now using a single crochet. Do I need to do a half double crochet when I attach them together or can I do the single crochet and then the slip stitch for the back piece?

Very nice pattern! I’m going to give it a try. And, I know if was a mistake, but I really like the look of the hood with that border, so I will be making the same mistake on purpose! :)

Thank you SO much for the video. You have no idea how much it helped with the initial hood section~

Love this video. I saw a scoodie few years back and asked my mum if she could knit me one, but it never happened. I´ve now got into crochet I followed your video instructions and made one myself. I actually prefer the look of the hood with the correction/front section added on, so I left mine a bit small at the front and added on an extra colour. It turned out a bit bulky, but nice and warm. I also added a small pocket on one end of the scarf.
Thanks for sharing this with us. :)

@ryanzVH Yes of corse you can , you may have to sew the hood to the scarf though

Could you not start from top to bottom too? I ask because I started a baby blanket (my first project) and I chose a yarn that’s too rough for baby blanket, but it makes a good hood, but i need to take out some length and add some “scarf” haha >.<

I really love this video I can’t wait to start my own scoodie but is there a way to avoid getting that witch hat look at the top of the scoodie?

I love this scoodie! I looked around for something similar and I found another at another site, but then I liked your fan page on Facebook and found this one. I’m making yours because of the video, I can watch and make sure i’m doing it right! Thanks again for the awesome patterns and videos, you’re the best! ;-)

@kwistiny Sorry I can not remember the amount of yardage i used but i do know that i used 4 x 50gm balls. I used 2 at once. At a guess i would say that each of the balls was 150m in lengh..
